Clients often approach me with a simple task: design a website. As we begin working together, a realization often occurs for them, that the scope is much greater, namely the amount of discovery involved to understand their operational model and how clients will use the website, and while considering they are selling services and products.

My clients have ranged from individual providers to large scale businesses with many providers, herbal pharmacies, and offering classes such as yoga and qigong.

I formerly built websites from scratch but am currently using WordPress due to the availability of tools to customize to meet client needs: membership, ecommerce, registration and payment gateway integration, robust SEO and analytics solutions, blogging, and newsletter and social media integration. I also consult clients in finding digital solutions for their businesses: scheduling, forms and electronic medical records, and payment systems.

I approach each project with the notion that I can help their workflow and operations can improve if we meet in the middle with what a flexible out-of-the-box solution can offer. The negotiation involved in this discovery and the willingness to participate in an organic process with moderation, structure, and trajectory yields some of the best outcomes.
